BRISTOL, Va. — The Birthplace of Country Music announced Thursday the launch of a fundraiser that will benefit the Birthplace of Country Music Museum. The Bristol Sessions Super Raffle gives you an opportunity to donate to the museum and enter for a chance to win one of 49 prizes.

The raffle drawing is scheduled for the last day of the Rhythm & Roots Reunion: Sunday, Sept. 22. From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. that day, outside the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, a winner will be drawn every five minutes. Prizes include vacation packages, a camper, multiple vehicles, art, jewelry, cash, and much more. The final ticket drawn will win $25,000 cash.

Only 5,000 tickets are available for purchase. Ticket holders do not have to be present to win.

“We were searching for a creative way to raise money for the museum that would involve the community on many different levels,” said Leah Ross, BCM executive director. “We received enthusiastic support from local businesses for prizes and ticket sales. This is an exciting venture, and we look forward to presenting some big prizes to the winners.”

In addition to being announced during the live event outside the museum, winners will be notified via phone, text, or email, listed on the Bristol Sessions Super Raffle website, and listed on the BCM Facebook event page.

Raffle tickets, each with two numbers, are $100 each. The BCM is offering an incentive to ticket purchasers who buy multiple tickets. The “Buy 10 Get One Free” offer gives the buyer a free ticket with the purchase of 10. All 10 purchased tickets and the free ticket must be in the single buyer’s name.

Tickets can be purchased online or at one of the following locations (in Bristol, unless noted otherwise): Birthplace of Country Music Museum; Benjamin Walls Gallery; Bill Gatton Chevrolet; Black Wolf Harley-Davidson; Crowder RV (Johnson City); Friendship Ford; Friendship Motorsports; Goodman Jewelers; Gregory Isbell Jewelers (Johnson City); Kubota of Kingsport (Kingsport); Morrell Music; Mountain Sports; Travel Shop (Abingdon); Up Against the Wall Gallery (Kingsport); Wallace Subaru; and online at BristolSessionsSuperRaffle.org.

Tickets for the raffle go on sale Friday online and at all sales locations. Ticket sales end automatically when 5,000 tickets are sold.

If tickets are still available, they will be sold at the Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion music festival, at the BCM offices located at 416 State St., at the museum, and online until 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21. Tickets will not be sold by other ticket sellers after 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 18.

The raffle drawings will be held just outside the festival gates. A festival ticket is not required to attend the raffle; however, raffle ticket purchasers can purchase a Sunday single-day ticket for a discounted price that day at the museum.
