Robin Dale Lovell

NORTON, VA - Robin Dale Lovell, AKA: Penny, Fat “Albert” and most favorite Poppie, Pop Rocks, Poppadoodle joined his heavenly family, mother and father, Woodrow and Ruby Cross Lovell, son, Ruben Lovell grandson, Hayden Lovell, sisters Marie Miller, Dorothy Logan, Shirley Wells, Barbara Craiger and Angela Lovell, brother-in-law Hillman “Buck” Wells, along with several nieces and nephews on Thursday, June 6, 2019, from complications, after having double bypass surgery.

He was born October 25, 1949 in Roda, Virginia and lived all but a few years, when he lived in

California, right here in the Appalachian Mountains he loved. He was a Blaster for Paramont Coal Company and VA Drilling for 38 years. He loved playing golf, painting, wood working, cooking, travel (although underduress) and enjoying time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by Chad and Pearl (daughter) Wilson, Jacoby (son) and Kristy Lovell, Grandchildren Grant Wilson, Sunshine Wilson and Trace Lovell. Woodrow (brother) and Eileen Lovell, all of Big stone Gap, VA Susie Payne (sister) Appalachia, VA and Hubert “Julio” and June (sister)Reeves Wise, VA. Brother-in-law Jack Miller of Norton, VA. Tim (husband-in-law) and Linda Begley (ex-wife) of Big Stone Gap. Along with an abundance of nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Robinette’s Chapel in Big Stone Gap, VA at 4:00.

Special thanks to the Pikeville Medical Center staff for the care they provide our loved one and the comfort provided to the family.
