Wise Central boys fall in Orlando tournament

ORLANDO — Uniontown topped Wise Central 63-51 in the KSA Tournament. Uniontown took a 27-14 lead in the locker room at halftime. Wise Central cut the lead to four heading into the fourth quarter. However, Uniontown responded in the fourth quarter with a 25-point barrage to pull away and seal the victory.

Isaiah McAmis led the Warriors with 15 points, including three buckets from behind the arc. Elijah Hayes added 14 points.

Satillo 56, Eastside 55

GATLINBURG — T.J. Hannah scored 19 points to help Satillo edge out Eastside in the Smoky Mountain Classic. Dee Howell chipped in with 18 points.

Ethan Powers had a valiant effort, dropping 28 points for the Spartans. Connor Blevins netted 10 points.

Union 72, Johnson Central, Ky. 70

GATLINBURG — Alex Rasnick drained a running floater with one second remaining to lift the Bears over Johnson Central in the Smoky Mountain Classic. Rasnick finished with 21 points, scoring 19 of them in the second half. Noah Jordan led Union in scoring with 24 points, and Sean Cusano added 12.

Isaiah Maye was on fire for Johnson Central, scoring 34 points, including four buckets from downtown. Cory Vanhoose tallied 18 points.

GIRLS

Gate City 52, Sullivan South 48

BRISTOL, Tenn. — Sarah Thompson put up 21 points to lead the Lady Blue Devils to a victory over Sullivan South in the Arby’s Ladies Holiday Hoops tournament. Macey Mullins added nine points.

Alex Harris scored 21 points for the Lady Rebels, and Nichole Troutman added 11.

St. Joseph’s Academy 54, Wise Central 44

ORLANDO — St. Joseph’s Academy topped Wise Central in the KSA Tournament, taking a 30-21 lead into halftime and never relinquishing the lead.

Jill Sturgill and Hannah Carter led the Lady Warriors with 14 points each. Callie Mullins contributed seven points.

Ridgeview 50, Leslie 38

GATLINBURG — Shae Sutherland had 14 points and five rebounds to lift Ridgeview to a double-digit win over Leslie. Hailey Sutherland chipped in with 12 points and six rebounds, and Brooke Frazier had six points and five assists.

Lexie Meyers led Leslie in scoring with 14 points.

Riverdale 44, Virginia High 28

BRISTOL, Tenn. — Alasia Hayes powered Riverdale to a decisive victory over Virginia High in the Arby’s Ladies Holiday Hoops, scoring 23 points.

Madison Worley was the leading scorer for Virginia High with 10 points.

St. Joseph Central 77, Morristown East 38

BRISTOL, Tenn. —- Grace Hutson scored 19 points to lead St. Joseph Central to a destruction of Morristown East in the Arby’s Ladies Holiday Hoops. Hannah Roberts added 15 points.

Sable Burnside led the Lady Hurricanes in scoring with 15 points.
