UPDATE: Stanley Valley VFD is offering this service as well. You can email a request at: christopher.d.vaughan@stanleyvalleyfire.org

CHURCH HILL — Thanks to the COVID-19 crisis large gatherings are prohibited, which is going to put a damper of a lot of upcoming children’s birthday parties.

But, the Carters Valley Volunteer Fire Department is offering a unique birthday alternative.

Throughout the remainder of the COVID-19 crisis, the CVVFD will be offering a “Safer at Home Children’s Birthday” surprise for children within its service area.

In these challenging and stressful times, the CVVFD would like to help celebrate your child’s birthday by driving by your house with lights and sirens on their special day.

If you have a child with an upcoming birthday, email Cartersvalleyvfd@gmail.com or call Paul Cappello at (423) 765-6252 to discuss the date, time and your address, and the CVVFD will do their best to make their birthday magical.

Please understand this is only available during this time of social distancing and will be subject to availability of fire department personnel.

This will also be provided to the CVVFD coverage area which encompasses the unincorporated areas in Hawkins County north of Church Hill, Mount Carmel and Allandale.
